Meet the Founder & CEO, Jodi:
With almost two decades of executive experience in the insurance and tech industries, I have an in-depth understanding of the often complex insurance industry and the ever-evolving technological landscape of today's world.
I have consulted for several Fortune 500 companies, served as a Chief Operating Officer, was a change management leader in the insurance industry and throughout all of my roles, I consistently found myself obsessively focused on enhancing the user experience for any consumer, or audience.
Growing up with South African parents, I developed a strong sense of responsibility for caring for my elders. After leaving my hometown of Atlanta for Los Angeles, I found myself constantly worrying about the little things that I would normally do for my parents. Whether that was quickly resetting the modem and router to fix the internet connection or taking it one step further and getting the cable company to come rewire the whole neighborhood. No matter how many days it had been since my last visit home, there was always a ‘to-do-list’ stacking up before my next visit home.
I started to think, what if other parents needed these somewhat small, yet significantly impactful tasks carried out and carried out by someone who seems like part of their family. Likewise, my friends have always leaned on me for help deciding which health insurance plan is best, how to submit their out of network claims, how to get a reimbursement for cancelled or delay travel and I found myself just saying, “Let me get this HANDLED for you.” Fast forward many years of seamlessly crossing off to-do lists for my community with immense patience, ease and a smile, HANDLED, was born.
